We make your life easy when applying for a university in Finland. Here’s a quick guide that you can follow to learn more about the process of applying to a university in Finland.

GENERAL APPLICATION GUIDELINES

  • As the first thing, you should pick a university and a degree program of your preferences.
  • Learn more about the degree program by referring to the website.
  • Get to know about all the documents you need for your application and scan them.
  • Apply for the university through our Apply Page.
  • Attach required documents.
  • Pay the required service fee.
  • Submit your application.
  • Await an email to receive further information on the next steps.

WHAT DOCUMENTS DO YOU NEED FOR THE APPLICATION?

Documents needed for application would vary depending on the university. Here are some of the documents that you usually need to have.

  • High School Diploma Certificate for Bachelor’s Studies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Certificate for Masters Studies.
  • Copy of the Passport ID page.
  • Official transcripts.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR AN APPLICATION TO PROCESS?

An application would usually be processed within a couple of business days. In case there are missing documents, we will let you know. To avoid delays, it is important to double-check and make sure that all documents are in order before applying.

Application Process Steps

Day 1

Submitting an application to EduFinlandia

Day 2

EduFinlandia verifying documents. If all documents are in order, they will be sent to the university

Day 3 to Day 20

University will verify the documents. Some universities will conduct a short online interview before providing approval. You will then be provided with acceptance.

Day 30 to Day 34

Once you are accepted by the university, you will need to pay tuition fees as instructed. In the meantime, we can also start Student Residence Permit Application.

Day 34 and onwards

You can continue with the next steps of your application at the nearest Finnish Embassy or VFS Center.
